September 18, 2012 – There will be two new prints called Photo Studio and Sewing Machines. Most of the proofs will be printed black on white.
Common relief plates are made out of linoleum or wood. The inking of the plates is done on the surface. What you carve out of the plate is not going to print and will be the color of the paper, often white or buff. The light areas are often made with closely carved thin marks. What remains of the plate will be inked and printed the color of the ink.
